holy crap thats cheap! in NY its like $2.29....AT BEST...i need Premium and thats finally down to $2.75...freakin NY, sooooooo expensive! i wish i would leave and work somewhere else. i tried for PUBNAT1 to get out and put down 2 other states, but that didnt seem to work...so for PUBNAT2 i put NY as my first choice and what do ya know, ZNY here i come :banghead:....Now i get to leave NY in like 30 years. awesome
 
should we take bets on who, from the people at the PEPC today, is going to create a new thread about the Kansas City PEPC...im also guessing its going to be called "Official Received TOL from KC PEPC Thread"....haha

I'm gettin out of NY!!! WOOHOO! Premium up here in "PrettymuchCanada", NY is 2.65

ok you live in Dannemora, NY...haha...thats not really NY. upstate NY is kinda like goin to the South for me, and most people around here. you can buy a nice house up there for like $50,000 probably. crappy houses here are like $300,000.
 
ya'll might wish you drove to KC for gas. there is a suburb of KC that has gas for $1.61. loving it here in the midwest!
 
So what is everyone's opinion of dress attire for this shendig? Is the general consensus to wear a tie but not necessarily a full on suit?
 
I bought a suit but I most likely will skip the jacket when I get down there....... We will see how I feel that morning and what other people say later tonight and later in the week.
 
I'm wearing a suit regardless of how casual people describe the PEPC. It's still an interview, to me. There is nothing wrong with being the best dressed person in the room, either.
 
I just finished up my PEPC today. The majority of the people were wearing full suits. A few were just in slacks and shirts though.

Haha just got done with my PEPC.... there was a guy wearing an 82nd airborne sweatshirt....and I think he passed his interview. (no joke) I bet his luggage was misplaced...

Seriously...just dress nice...but a suite is not needed.

Debating on Starting the New FOL thread.... I guess I will let someone else take the honor...


ALSO--- They took us into a room at the beginning... One guy asked who he could talk to about getting his facility changed, The Head guy said that there would be No Negotiations... You are being hired for a vacancy. If you don't want the job...don't take it. He advised the guy to take it.

Finally- The HR lady mentioned to us that they are aware of this website... be careful.

So overall how'd it go? Anything out of the blue? Interview questions, MMPI etc? I'm assuming you received your TOL so congrats, any estimates on upcoming class dates?

It went Great.. Everyone was so helpful. I recieved my TOL right after my interview...I was in shock. Medical was crazy...we went up and down the elevators like crazy....everyone was escorted everywhere.. we were never sitting too long.

The mmpi was the long version....567 questions i think...I thought I was nuts after taking it..I hope not. Nothing was out of the blue....

The HR people said that they just finished up filling the first class dates for the first quarter and will begin filling the second quarter .... She said expect an FOL in a month... ( i will believe when i see it) It will be a few months before we get to OKC...

Overall, things ran smooth!
 
I'd debated on the suit vs. casual idea... mainly because (braces for laughter) I don't own a suit. :)

If I can get away w/ the casual look, I will.

I on the other hand, can no longer FIT into my suit!:) I'm hoping that a nice pair of slacks with a shirt and tie will be ok, but I would feel more comfortable in a suit.
 
For those of you who went through it today, about how long did it take? I have mine tomorrow at 11, good luck to all, and congrats to all of the ones who got a TOL or FOL, whatever it is.
 
oh, forgot to ask,......anything that you guys forgot, or think would be a good idea to bring? also, by them saying they're finished with the first quarter, does that mean that we're looking around April or so before we go to school? Last, for those of you who'll be around tomorrow night i'll be out at Howl at the moon!
