Hey no disrespect at all! You gotta appreciate the chutzpah required to take off knowing that you are going to see the one board and still be on the runway when you see it! (As #3 or 4, MITO, IFR!!)

Ah yes the steam jet, turned fuel and water into noise and smoke.

FWIW they used to have the water system plumbed so the water on the left engines ran out before the water on the right side did! Woo Hoo!

Eventually they replumbed it so it was an inboard/outboard engine thing.

Then it went the way of the dodo and they called them E's or R's...but that was after I had migrated to the KC10!
