From a Canadian...

Aerial photography pilot (1 year), helped company get their operator certificate and helped write the manuals - worked in cargo department for a northern airline (14 months) - flew the metro (14 months) - flew the CRJ at a regional (3 yrs) - A330 F/O.

Enlisted military - earned certificates - began instructing - earned A&P - Ferry pilot, mechanic and odd stuff - degree - ATPs - Part 91 contract & still instructing.

From zero to hero ~ 10 years? I guess and I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up.
 
Private in high school > college > rest of my ratings > regionals for 5 years > major

Got lucky and never had to use my CFI
 
Air New Zealand Customer Service Internship in Highschool>Skywest Customer Service>Private>taking girls flying and dicking around>Skywest Ramper>too broke to fly>video game testing>cargo warehouse/freight runner/relief ramp tower controller>no time to fly>ramp tower controller>getting off my ass and trying get all the way to CFI right quick like.

Hope to stay at the ramp tower while I CFI unless I make a name for myself before that.
