My standard response is "I dunno, better figure it out quick!" they almost always do.

I personally throw my hands up and shrug. Then the important part, guess how many seconds before ATC repeats the call, and start counting down to see how close my guess was. As CFIs, we have to keep ourselves entertained somehow!

Yeah, they generally don't like that! :D However, don't trying to grab the wheel driving down the interstate, swerving them all over the place and saying, "unusual attitudes...recover..."

You've been off this entire week, against you will, due to really crappy weather, and start getting worried on how this is going to affect your ability to make your student loan payments.

You might be a CFI if just being a CFI gets you worried about being being able to make your student loan payments--regardless of WX
