You know it's going to be a bad day when...

The second one's the best. Looks like he's just comfortably sitting there. On the first two, you can see that he was still pulling to yoke back. Ouch!

In any case, a classic stall, spin by a highly experienced pilot. The high performance racing glider is a demanding beast and it will bite you quicker than any powered airplane I can think of with the exception of the older century series fighters, the F-100, the English Electric Lightning, the F-104, F-105, and the grand daddy of them all, the F-8 Crusader, with over half the fleet lost to operational accidents.
The big issue of course is that once the spin starts, you are screwed....no eraser on the front end to pull you out of it.
