XJT TA Rejected!

That's good. We don't want you.
Clearly you misunderstand. Would you want to start all over again from the beginning with the exact management group that put you on the street?

It seriously would be a dick move to renegotiate a CPA so that the XJT side would be disbanded as 175s came on to property at SkyWest. You really could not expect the XJT peeps to make the jump if they have to start over at year 1.

My comment was directed to the folks that use the stupid nicknames and cry about OO. We don't want those guys.

I understand I don't comment on here much so it may seem like it's out of left field but I read a lot of what you guys write and say especially since we are under the same umbrella. I applaud you all for voting the way that you did, with the numbers that you did. We haven't had that type of participation in our process yet and probably won't over the next day or so it's open. But the general attitude I get from XJet is that you have a blanket hate for us. It is absolutely ridiculous to act this way in what is supposed to be a professional environment. This is my second regional and having seen how good people can become mean and hateful towards another because of what some managers did behind closed doors, it created a toxic environment that bordered on unsafe. So when I say I don't want the attitude that I see and hear from these boards and less frequently from commuting and DH or whatever, that is what I am talking about.

And when I'm going through ORD I am rarely even acknowledged by the Skywest crews.

I thought it was hilarious when we switched from silver stripes to gold. I'd see a Skywest crew and wave, they'd start to wave back, realize who I worked for and pretend they were adjusting their hat.

I think the source of the matter is that guys on both side have a difficult time seeing that we both are outsourced labor at crappy regionals. That said I do find that is more an ERJ problem than a CRJ problem. Over here we are well aware how much we suck.

No matter who they work for, even if they're on my own team, I find people who think their regional is something amazing irritating as hell. And I hate to say it, but you guys tend to drink more kool aid than most.

I think a lot of that "hate" is manufactured in your imagination. I haven't met an XJT pilot who hate's a SKW crew. We've had them in our crew rooms and everyone's respectful. But like the EMU's saying, the koolaid drinking is what bothers our pilot group. We see through our managements tactics and know we can't trust anything they say... At some point being without a contract might bite you guys, (just as us having our current contract will probably shut us down.) There really is no right way to do things when working at a regional airline. SKW, XJT, PNCL- they are all bottom feeding regionals. Don't be ignorant to the fact that your management hates you much more than any XJT pilot does, and wouldn't care if they had to furlough you...

Our regional pilot brethren- they are the ones who will try to help a fellow pilot when furloughed or whatever it may be.. That doesn't sound like hate to me.

I hear this complaint from many pilots about pilots about other pilots not acknowledging them. Most commonly pilots complaining about Delta pilots not acknowledging them. My experience has been the exact opposite. If another pilot doesn't acknowledge me it's because they didn't see me. Skywest, Delta, it doesn't matter, everybody says high. I want to walk thru ORD with you and test your theory.

Check it out. I give everyone the wave or the nod. Most people do it in return.

Related to this thread, Brad Sheehan was just named our new VP of flight operations. Best damn news I've read on the company website in months.

I loved the long email he sent talking about everything they've been working on. He talked for something like six paragraphs about a bunch of other crap (of course, his hatred of all things middle east was featured), and then finally got around to a short paragraph towards the end about the FFD carriers. That's the way to show everyone you care! :sarcasm:
