WN Classes Delayed Due to Max Uncertainty

I think you’re right. I have a friend from high school whose wife was an engineer at Boeing and basically the perspective I got through my friend was that they basically gutted R&D on the commercial side and there were too many to transfer to the military side so a lot of them, like you said, got the axe.

I guess they had a tube, a wing, all they had to do was Rube Goldberg that design to fit higher tech engines and that’s their 100 year business plan (sarcastically said, of course. OR IS IT?!)

If they could just officially announce the NMA/797. Yeah, I'd be so happy. So, tired of their constant will we, or will we not yo-yo game.

Most of my now-closed-because-look-there's-a-runway-there elementary school classmates were the sons and daughters of BCA engineers and a lot of them either went from the peaceful tubes business to the warheads on foreheads business, or simply were RIF'd out of the business through various means. The rumor mill suggests that there's not merely smoke, but fire there.

Same issue with the Seattle vs CHS builds at Boeing.
The Daily had a rather scathing report about the build quality at CHS.

Whodathunk that non-union newbies don't build airplanes as well as life-long machinists and mechanics?

To be fair, KC-46.

Why would SWA give up an all 737 fleet? The single fleet model has served them well for decades. Maybe when the 737 isn’t made anymore they will have to get another fleet type, but most likely will stick with a single fleet type.

My own company is probably gonna go single fleet type and it sure ain’t gonna be the Bus.

A close friend was a 737 test pilot there. Very interesting experiences that require a beer to hear but... all i’ll say is, wow.

Were getting new 767s off the SEA assembly line and they often have mechanical difficiencies on par with our heavily aged 757s. Legend has it on one of our new birds the mechanics had to completely rewire the gear indication system due to a recurring fault. Idk if new Airbii have these issues, too?

The reality is that even if swa wanted to swap to the bus it would take what..5? years to get delivery. They are pretty much stuck with Boeing the only thing I could maybe see them doing (besides buying Sun Country for their planes) is a different (Boeing) type...787......

They took a swing at F9 once before...

Lots of MAX's sitting at Paine Field. That looks like an opportunity for a smart business man. And maybe a fire sale for Boeing.
