Feel bad for people who've suffered losses. Yet, at the same time, isn't it sort of like people who live on a Mississippi River bank and rebuild their house every few years after flooding. I wouldn't really call it "bad luck" so much as, part of living there.

I don't think that's a very good comparison. A river will bust it's banks in the same general areas on a somewhat frequent basis. A tornado hitting the same city twice in anyone's lifetime is pretty remote.

Wow watching it on tv. Everything is demolished in like a mile radius. Completely demolished. So sad. Two schools are flattened. Wow.

My apartment is ok, but I'm not sure about my mom's house. She lives in NE Moore. My wife and I were trying to get to my sister's in Norman, but it touched down and we went back north. I saw a large stovepipe tornado to the SW when it touched down in Newcastle. I hope everyone in the area is ok. Really bad situation.

St. Louis Fox affiliate has live video. It's pretty darn hard to watch. Everything has just been leveled. 1 to 2 mile width for a long stretch. Schools, a hospital, whole neighborhoods. House on fire that the fire dept. can't get to because they have other stuff to do now. Incredible.

Not only hitting the same city twice but it's looking like this tornado could very well be EF-5 strength. That was what hit them in 1999 that is extremely rare

Well my family and my wife's family have been accounted for. Minor damage to homes, but not the same story for others in my hometown. Not how I pictured seeing my first tornado.

Watching live coverage or Moore Oklahoma. Holy crap!

Most of my family is from Paul's Valley Oklahoma. 3 1/2 years of my Air Force time then FAA ATC training all happened in Oklahoma. I really like that state. Wonderful people.

That is one of the most well defined commas I have ever seen. That tornado was a pure monster and I don't think I've ever heard anyone talk about a 2mile+ wide tornado. Best wishes for all.
