I wear the hat because I'm supposed to wear it where I work.
In the winter, I don't mind wearing it at all because sometimes my hair is a bit longer than average and if it's windy I don't need to worry about my hair blowing around looking sloppy.
Another reason I don't mind wearing the hat is to get all the anti-hat people all riled up.
Similarly, I sometimes intentionally make the biggest exaggerated overshoot style turn during a "line up and wait" clearance, going all the way to the fourth stripe past the centerline gap before cranking the tiller to the stop and pivoting around. I do this just to get the crew at the hold short line all revved up about how I didn't need to turn like that. I know they are discussing it.
