Did we used to work together? At my old job we carried large sums of cash, sometimes to make things happen, sometimes for out of the way places in the s pacific that would only accept cash for fuel.

I doubt it, I was just the hangar boy, washing the airplane, etc. I got the impression that the cash was mostly for getting things done in Africa and Sri Lanka. I think this is a fairly common practice.
