Crap like that is why I do my damnedest not to stick out as a pilot on overnights. If I have to ask for the crew discount at the bar, I'm doing it right!

Yep. I was blown away by some of the discounts we get over here. I guess there's a very good reasons we have a substance abuse program.....

I haven't been to many domestic crew hotels for darned near a decade. Many offer good discounts in Europe, but only a fool would imbibe more than one or two at a crew hotel bar.

The problem with wishing for more money is the fact a limited number of companies are not saddle with a union and its demands in which can afford the extra money. The companies whereas cannot afford pay raises will never fold on the demand for more money. I can remember when many communities in the US had no commuter/regional airline service at all, I believe many airlines will cut or discontinue service altogether rather then pay more money to workers. Sorry! nothing personal its business.

Those are sweet I think I'm going to pick up one of the 2nd Gen chromed ones for my wife's Ford Ranger. That'll make it a defacto F250 in my eyes. Now I just have to order that gooseneck and air horn setup and I'll be haul'in like the big boys.

Thanks. I don't think I will go for the chrome. Right now I'm leaning towards the flesh color.
I notice the second generation has a "greater range of swing." Do you think thats really worth the extra $13? Or does the 1st generation stand out enough, that you really don't need the increased range?
I never realized I had so many options to choose from.

Look at it like an investment. Doing so I think you'll find it hard NOT to "cough up" the extra moola for the gen 2.

What do you think about starting a movement where all JC pilots purchase a low hanging nutsack (one with a great range of swing) to hang off of the back of their vehicle? It will be similar to a sticker on the flight bag, but much more noticeable outside the terminal.
