Wheels Up

Pretty sure there is a thread on this somewhere. I believe Gama, in Stratford CT, is managing the fleet.

Gama is currently hiring 8-12 per month to support the Wheels Up flying. Bases are Teterboro, Palm Beach, and Van Nuys. Schedule is 6 days on and 3 days off. Watch for ads on CT350 for the base that you want. Feel free to PM me with any other questions.

No real changes. Hiring continues. Most hiring is for TEB as guys have been willing to take TEB and then transfer to other bases as they open up. Texas is opening soon, but I suspect it will initially mostly be filled by internal transfers.

Is that schedule for real? Wow...

where in Texas?

Plus I can't find for the life of me where to apply...unless it's the CT350 site in which I haven't been there yet...

Texas has not been advertised for yet. It will Be a Dallas base. Climbto350 is the primary place that ads are posted. However, you can apply directly. This is ad is probably a little dated, but I think all of the info is still correct:

those multiengine PIC reqs are high , especially for the SIC

and thanks....Dallas is where I am

Not when you consider pay. Who else pays 55k for a king air fo? I don't make a lot more than that as a captain.

I see your point...just to point out that they have targeted certain backgrounds (such as SPIFR) ALOT of the 121 FO's that have 5000+ TT don't have 500 ME PIC

my point is I have turned down 2 jobs that pay 65k as PIC and havr half those reqs. for king airs (schedule and location were an issue)

i guess I just see that column as a bit high...IMO

It seems they are getting what they want, 20 starting class tomorrow, 15 for the King Air.

I have 3 friends that have just got on here... Sure the schedule is less than ideal but they say it's a top notch operation and the pay is good. Plus I think they are being told that the schedule is expected to improve in the future as staffing needs are fulfilled.

Just got an email asking if I'd be interested in one the three bases. He noted that Dallas has not been official but is on the table.

I'd be very interested if it was a CA position
