what do you know about it???Actually, that's not true. The Navy VR squadrons and the Air Force transport squadrons fly space A passengers a lot. Many of them are retirees and or dependents...civilians.
We need to work purple in somehow. It's my favorite color!!! :nana2:
"As the Prop Turns - Episode IV: Jetcareers"
Which I guess is kind of ironic.. "As the Prop Turns ...... Jetcareers" Hahahaha. Okay, that was a lame joke. :cwm27:
I'm insulted, I never want to be associated with props, unless I'm giving them to someone.
I have SJS biiiiiaaaacth!
Therefore the name of this soap opera drama should be called; As The Turbines Turn!
Props, geez, let me go and wash the stink off of me now!

I'd love to hear that one over a barley pop.Actually, one of the funniest stories I have is the day we landed in Lajes. We were the first transport airplane in there in 10 days...all the Air Force guys checked the winds, hit a tanker and overflew.
There were over 400 civilians in the terminal looking for space A off the island.
the plot thickens . . .We had to make it in...not enough gas to go anywhere else except Santa Maria.

then we steamed for three days, after which they helo'd us out and dropped us off on a desert
island (i think it was Misawa???). There was nothing there, no shade . . . nothing (1981). I was glad to see the KC135 come to haul us out of there after three hours.

UGH!!! I hated landing there, the origin of all winds in the world!
I really can't remember the name of that stupid island (haven't been able to for 20 odd years) Misura?? I believe it was in the northern part of the IO southwest of India . . . maybe just south of the Arabian Sea?Wasn't Misawa, that's the lawndart/icepick base that's the winter ski/snowboarding mecca on northern Honshu in Japan.

I was just perusing a map . . . that could be it. Maybe a two hour flight? I don't really remember . . . I was riding in backMale in the Maldives maybe? I think it was a divert base for Diego.
