What luggage do you use?

Re: Credibility

:yup: The kids a troll, flamebait, whatever you want to call it  He sits behind his computer playing FSX (over the VATSim network so he can wear his headset), and reads A.net enough to think he has a better grasp on the industry than those of us who work in it... oh well I guess I should listen to this guy:

Yeah, I called him out as a troll weeks ago and I got reprimanded for doing so. But yet he's still here posting nonsense over and over again. :(

I got a TP Crew4 (I believe) for Christmas. I've used it a few times and it seems pretty sturdy. I'm taking it on one of my whirlwind trips next month so we shall see if it holds up.

PNT Stop Over Stealth!

It may seem like a gimmick but the stabilizer strap is the way to go. Firmly holds my flight kit in place while other people's are swinging around getting caught in doors ect.

I honestly don't know why you got reprimanded. I mean, IF "Brand X" is who he claims to be (UPS pilot, flying for over 20 years), he certainly has lost all credibility to me and to several others here. His posts come off as a bored 16-year old punk (with apologies to 16 year-olds :D) with nothing better to do than put himself up on a pedestal while putting everyone down. I for one don't believe him at all.

I use the FREE (every two years) POS travelpro that my company gives me. In it, I put my FREE uniform (every year) and I attach my FREE flight bag (every five years) to it.

Free luggage, free clothes, AND I get to fly with BrandX???? Throw in a case of Rice-a-Roni, and you can sign me up!

<the preceding message contains copious amounts of :sarcasm:>

We've got some pretty understanding mods if Brand X is still up to his usual tactics. . .

Then for those of us calling him out to get reprimanded. . .hilarious.

They guy should have been gone weeks, if not a month ago when he started this endless festival of ignorance.

Yes. Apparently it's a novel concept in this industry, having your company provide you FREE, the things you need to do your job vs. having the employee pay for them.

Uh... hate to tell you this, but nothing in life is free. NOTHING. Your company certainly doesn't view it as free. Perqs are perqs, and are considered part of your total compensation package. I'm not saying it isn't nice, and I'm not saying it isn't a valuable benefit. But it costs your company something to provide you with those FREE tools, and they DO view it as compensation. Same goes for health benefits, vacation, etc. Now, with that said, it's probably cheaper for the company to provide you with free luggage than to pay you what it would cost for you to PURCHASE said luggage (since they probably get a better deal on it than you could directly due to their volume and negotiating power), but perqs are definately NOT free and should be considered part of your total compensation, along with any other benefits you receive.

Well, don't count on that going on forever.

The way your company's stock price is falling, THAT will be given out 'FREE' to everybody soon, too.
