The oldest airplane i have seen flying was in 1995 when the local av.museum flew for few minutes a Sopwith Camel build in 1917///////The rotary engine ,almost 80 yrs old ,was a pain to start but once it was running OH BOY///////// it was full throttle all the time///////[actually there is NO throtlle,power is control with the ignition switch
cutting electricity to some of the spark plugs] the crankcase is fix to the airframe and engine and a MASSIVE prop turn together ////////
