I'm under 25 thankfully so I don't use their package. Couldn't really tell you much about it. As far as bad maintenance, I'd have to disagree with the way it is NOW. I can't go about the past because I haven't been here long but we are on a progressive maintenance inspection...doing 50 hour intervals instead of having to do a 100 hour. Planes are looked at more frequently(since we don't do 100 hours) and with progressive inspection they are inspected by two mechanics to double check the work before being placed on the line. It's a 24 hour operation. I don't see any issues with it especially with flight schools around the area. With the sheer amount of flying TransPac does (also 24 hour operation shifts), some planes fly between 8-12 hours a day. We have gone over some maintenance accidents though and I can tell you that we had issues with the Seminole a few years back. They actually got in contact with Piper and solved that issue.. Whatever it was.I have 1100 dual given with mei and cfii. I read some bad reviews about transpac on glassdoor. They said that mx is a problem at transpac (unsafe old planes) and that the health insurance is so bad you have to buy obamacare? Dont know if any of that is true or not.
Oh, wow. What are the minimum requirements for them? International students?Flight safety academy 50k a year in vero beach FL (potential to make more if willing to work harder)
You enjoy it there? I had a buddy who went to your CFI academy or whatever it's called and ended up leaving. Claimed he never got to fly and they were taking too long to do his training. That's all I know about the place.no minimums just your CFI & a drive to work. Internaltional students from Korea, Japan, China, Saudi Arabia, Africa, South America, the Caribbean & many more. I work there i can answer any questions.
Didn't you say you work hard about 7 days a week?I'm on track to make 40K at my part 61 school.
Wow. I will check out flight safety too . 50 grand for a flight instructor i would think is about the highest you could get anywhere. Good to hear transpac is not as bad as some of the glassdoor app reviews.
Yea. Usually 6.5-7 days. Sunday's I take off in the AMDidn't you say you work hard about 7 days a week?
Yeah, kudos to you for that. I thought I'd be able to do that but I'm already averaging pulling 900-1000 a year off 5 days and my days off keep me sane...even if I have nothing to do.Yea. Usually 6.5-7 days. Sunday's I take off in the AM
SM121 what places in Houston and Texas are you referring to?
