What is the highest paid CFII, MEI jobs?

What school, academy etc is giving out the most paper to flight instructors right now?

I'd check out those listed above. If you don't have any dual given time, TransPac pays 28k starting and a 5k sign on bonus...making it as close to those guys. I think CAE pays 40. I'm at TransPac if you have any questions on the company.

I have 1100 dual given with mei and cfii. I read some bad reviews about transpac on glassdoor. They said that mx is a problem at transpac (unsafe old planes) and that the health insurance is so bad you have to buy obamacare? Dont know if any of that is true or not.

I'm under 25 thankfully so I don't use their package. Couldn't really tell you much about it. As far as bad maintenance, I'd have to disagree with the way it is NOW. I can't go about the past because I haven't been here long but we are on a progressive maintenance inspection...doing 50 hour intervals instead of having to do a 100 hour. Planes are looked at more frequently(since we don't do 100 hours) and with progressive inspection they are inspected by two mechanics to double check the work before being placed on the line. It's a 24 hour operation. I don't see any issues with it especially with flight schools around the area. With the sheer amount of flying TransPac does (also 24 hour operation shifts), some planes fly between 8-12 hours a day. We have gone over some maintenance accidents though and I can tell you that we had issues with the Seminole a few years back. They actually got in contact with Piper and solved that issue.. Whatever it was.

Most planes are around 1998-2003 models. If you ask me that's a lot better than 1970-80 172s. The interior isn't pretty for many but what can you expect with all the flying they take on. I can admit that...they are not pretty looking Archers.

no minimums just your CFI & a drive to work. Internaltional students from Korea, Japan, China, Saudi Arabia, Africa, South America, the Caribbean & many more. I work there i can answer any questions.

You enjoy it there? I had a buddy who went to your CFI academy or whatever it's called and ended up leaving. Claimed he never got to fly and they were taking too long to do his training. That's all I know about the place.

Wow. I will check out flight safety too . 50 grand for a flight instructor i would think is about the highest you could get anywhere. Good to hear transpac is not as bad as some of the glassdoor app reviews.

I had a friend go there and it seemed horrible, like he was promised a lot and then very little of it materialized. He was overworked and unhappy. There's more to aviation than money and what's the fun in being a pilot if you have to work somewhere that's making you unhappy?

Since you already have some dual given there are other CFI positions where you can make more money. I know there are some flight schools that handle the initial training for the air force and navy and the pay can be pretty good. I have also seen some instructor positions in Houston or maybe Texas instructing in higher end aircraft and likely making much more money than you're typical cfi job.

Yea. Usually 6.5-7 days. Sunday's I take off in the AM
Yeah, kudos to you for that. I thought I'd be able to do that but I'm already averaging pulling 900-1000 a year off 5 days and my days off keep me sane...even if I have nothing to do.

CTC aviation at GYR is actively recruiting. With your experience you would start at 45K and the instructor salary scale tops at 65K with more for management positions.

PM me for details

SM121 what places in Houston and Texas are you referring to?

It's been a year since I remember seeing the listings on climbto350, but there are lots of places like that that exist. Also there was an outfit hiring in Korea that was offering quite a bit to experienced FAA CFIs. If I had to take a guess going by the aircraft and the rates the Houston flight school might be http://flyhpa.com/about/employment-opportunities/

I forget the name of the school but whoever trains the EVA Air guys in Sacramento, I wanna say they were starting at 45k but they wanted a fair amount of experience. And then 45k in that part of the country isn't exactly fantastic.

With all of that dual given you should look into ATCA out of Goodyear. Heard good things about them and I know they're one of the highest paying in the Phoenix area (potential for 50k+). Plus they have a fleet of bonanzas which is pretty sweet.
