What is everyone doing while they wait?

The title says it all. What is everyone doing while they wait to get into OKC? Life as normal? Pulling out your hair? I'm just trucking along as normal. Just started another 12 hours of college, working 35+ hours as week, and trolling the boards. I am also making arrangements to tour the TRACON and tower here. :D Life as normal.

I just stayed in bed all the time and cried till I got my OKC date
about what i expected.

i currently am traveling the world.

Getting my excercise

And of course, making sure I am well hydrated.

Hope that helps!

zz ;)

I usually check the FAA ASAP every 3 minutes, and I start threads asking how what everyone is doing while they wait.

working at a Honda dealership, since my spot in the ASA hiring pool is no good, seeing as they are furloughing.

why are you checking asap? nothing further happens there. you are officially done with asap...now all you have to do is keep checking your email every 3 minutes.

I know, I just love hitting the "I agree" button on the first page about me understanding that it is a government website and stuff.

haha...starting next week just make sure that when/if you get an offer emailed that you respond IMMEDIATELY with the first possible pepc location. you dont wanna wait around for the next one. no matter how inconvenient that one might be it will all be worth it when your in okc.

Flying... I get to fly for 1 hour, sit for another 10, then fly back. It's a pretty boring job, pay is crap, and there's too much politics involved (espically, for bottom feeder freight compnays such as the one I fly for.) And this is why I'd rather fly 15 planes from a scope than 1.

I am a trauma registered nurse at a large county hospital in Dallas, TX. I currently am working 60 hours a week, saving money and lives. We work car/motorcycle accidents, shootings, burns, stabbings, ranging from dead at the door to a small gaping wound on ones leg. Some things I've learned since doing this job.....
1.) Small Bowell really looks like sausage, just add mustard
2.) Motorcycle helmets don't always contain brain matter in an accident
3.) Beer + Driving= Not smart
4.) Gangs are not just things you see on COPS, and they use REAL guns
5.) Nail guns aren't a way to prank your buddy at work
6.) Steel girders at the new Cowboy's stadium will crush your leg if it falls on you
7.) Bentley Continental GT+Firetruck @ 50mph= really expensive insurance claim
8.) Homeless drunks, actually have interesting life stories.

I love these boards, you guys are hilarious.

Let's just say it involves pay-sites & astroglide. :buck:

I kid, I kid...

Just working away, hoping to find higher paying work in the interim so I can have a cash reserve.

Just working the normal 8-5 for now. I'll be cutting out about 3 weeks early to have some alone time. Might go to Mexico for a short stay at one of the resorts (all inclusive, you must try it some time). I'll probably call up Waco during that time and see if anyone wants to meet me (assuming they don't browse these forums and already know what an ass I am).

oh man i did an all inclusive for my honeymoon to the Cozumel Palace....soo amazing. the food was awesome, and i ate waaaay to much. lol

I would advise, if at all possible, to visit your facility while you are waiting in agony. It really helped me to know what the heck I am getting into when everything is said and done. Also, it made me excited about the whole thing instead of annoyed that it was taking so long. Most facilities wouldn't mind giving you a little tour if you make an appointment to come down. They do that stuff all the time from what I hear.

Marketing products that I'm really not interested in, but holding on to this job until the FAA contacts me! ;)

going on a hunger stirke until the FAA finally gives in and hires me. i dont think ill make it though.

but just working and trying not to think about this.

Starting to wonder if I should break down and go to the doctor for this cold/flu I've had for a WEEK AND A #*%!ING HALF.

Aside from that, not a lot.

A fuel buster at a local airport while waiting, and pay sucks. Contemplating wether to work on this upcomming motion picture or not while I wait and I have no idea what it is.
