What in the hell...

I tried. Hit :18.

I know it's the new thing on the Delta side to stand up and say hello, but there is a difference in putting a face and clear message behind what would only be a "Charlie Brown PA" and trying to create a show. Unless you know by a side job paying good bucks that you are entertaining (talking standup comedy here, remove gutter implications), why would someone embarrass themselves AND the rest of the crew with bafoonary?

Hello, good "time of day", thanks for flying XYZ mainline. Today the flight time is xx:xx and the weather along our route should be smooth/ has some storms we will work around/ may be a little bumpy/ etc. if delayed, apologize and give a best guess time, if on time, state everything is running on time. Welcome aboard, hope you enjoy the flight. Less than :30 seconds unless you are dealing with delays that need a little more (15 second and basic) explanation.

I've seen too many folks, mainline and regional, turn this into a play by play or try and make it some sort of entertainment venue. Embarrassing for the profession. If it's a simple hello and pax brief with the customers seeing the person flying, that seems to be a good thing by review. Slippery slope.

What if he makes an "I'm Sorry" cake?

This is why pilots don't get laid anymore. If it is to PG-13 just pretend the L in laid is actually a P and says Paid. Both statements are accurate.

Did he violate his FOM? Yes or no?

Everything else is just a goofy guy wanting to broadcast his selfie collection.
Some of you guys look ten times worse with your belly hanging 2' past your waste or have yellow shirts. Or haven't shaved in who knows how long.

You're right. You guys need to get laid.

Maybe. Or a social media policy.

Don't know about you, but I would consider wearing roller skates in the terminal in uniform unprofessional.

So it goes a little deeper than selfies as you would say.

Also, I do just fine in the 'get laid' department. Have you struggled lately?

I don't condone roller skates throughout the terminal either. However the next time you are beat-bopping through the terminal look around. This dude is not the poster boy of unprofessional looking pilots.

I thank you for your concern about my sex life.
