What have you done to further your career today?

I have a friend of a friend who has helped several corporate guys in town get jobs at JetBlue by going over their resumes/CL/networking/interview prep. Hoping this guy can help me too!

Got a 3 hour tour of every inch of SFO with an Airfield Ops Supervisor last night after work. It pays more than double what I'm making now with amazing benefits. Found out I'm what they're looking for, got advice on what to do to get in the pool, so I listened and put all my stuff in today.

Interesting how side tracked some people's careers can get.

You originally wanted to fly professionally correct?

I still do, I don't think I'm side tracked. Flying is expensive, I refuse to take a loan(why should I make payments for a low paying job, a job is all about MAKING money), I have to pay for it somehow. I've had really crappy luck the last 2-3 years so all I've been able to afford is taking girls flying every month or two and the occasional friend in between. Rent is super expensive here, so I'm just grinding away at school while finding a job that makes enough money for me to fly and pay rent while still having a life and not slurping ramen noodles.

Ultimately, I want to be an entertainer and that's what I'm working on more so than flying. But I can't depend on that since I have no idea if and when I'll be able to sustain myself on that, so in the mean time I'm throwing my hat in the ring to chase many dreams at once and I'll see what happens. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to fly professionally tomorrow, but I'm very limited since I need to stay local and don't want to fall into any debt. So I just kind of have to see where life takes me and hopefully I'll end up in a position where I make enough money on the side to have a flying career "for fun" more or less where I can do different jobs and not have to worry about starting over. I could be dead tomorrow, life's too short to do one thing. :)
