:yeahthat:Exactly! I mean, sure, questions can get repetitive here on JC; but there's also a good few different places it could get posted, so I can sometimes see how it could be missed. The ATC forum is one section of the website, yet it gets a TON of repetitive questions (Whats the process for OTS? Hey I failed my MMPI, what do I do now? How do you get hired?, etc, etc). It's all right here in this one section of the website. You almost don't have to use the search function because there's always some question covered, if not a sticky.

Someone in another post brought up a good point. It seems like a lot of the people who have been told FY2010 had BR as their HR rep. Do you think that all of us may have driven her out with constant calls and e-mails begging for class dates?
I know I am guilty. She told me October several months ago, but I still went ahead and called her last week to see if, by some miracle, something sooner became available.
No....you think?
C'mon people, use some common sense. With a government job, the wheels of progress turn slowly. On your end, you need to have a healthy amount of patience. That doesn't mean sitting around forever on your hands, but calling/emailing to the extent that many here have admitted to is a surefire way to get your application filed into the circular file at their feet.

Then Mike's post couldn't possibly be directed toward you, right?I have only contacted her 2x in well over four months.

:clap:Hear here! Great idea. Can the Mods add a feature when you click the "New Thread" button that pops up and asks "WAIT! Have you used the SEARCH feature first? Most of your questions have already been answered in the forum." Or maybe, keeping newbies from creating threads until they have 25 posts?![]()
Honestly, I think MikeD has said the things that a lot of the veterans on this site have been wanting to say for a while--and he did it in the nicest way possible.
...
I will say that it honestly drives me crazy to see all the people on here who pester HR/medical about their clearances. I only contacted HR/medical when I had something pertinent for them, and even then they were in a rush it seemed. The "me first! are we there yet??" attitudes will not get you anywhere. Anyone who has worked for the government before will know that it's a constant waiting game, along with a ton of paperwork.
:yeahthat:
I know a lot of people subscribe to the old adage 'The squeaky wheel gets the grease', but too many squeaky wheels slows down the process for everybody...... This isn't aimed at anyone in particular, just an observation in general. :bandit:
. Cause no matter how obnoxious people were about calling/emailing, that IS the job description of an HR rep. But that's just my .02.

Gotta disagree with you. HR reps are there to process people, etc. NOT there to have to deal with every nitwit who lacks patience and wants to call/email 24/7, which is pretty prevelant around this forum judging by some of the posters I've seen.
Quite possible that some of those that have been a pain in the ass to HR, and still haven't received dates for anything........there could be a connection. Who knows?
