What are you paying?

After reading through some of the much cheaper deals out there, makes me feel a little jipped, but that's life. At least I got my private at a cheap fbo We don't even have glass cockpits in our warriors like UND...errrrr....haha our sims are only $19 an hour though so eat that UND...
I felt jipped also, I thought I had a good deal, but then these punks show up and post their rates:) However, I guess if you put it in context (i.e. to get the good rate at UND, you have to pay thousands of $$$ for tuition, or fly in the middle of hobo-junction where gas is a buck fifty.) then it's not too bad. Now, I know a while ago I was getting a good deal when I could rent a 2006 C-182T Turbo G1000, O2 etc for $140/hour wet, but then that deal went away, now all I can get for that price is a 40 year old cherokee 6.

As for that sim cost, I've never been charged a cent for using the sim at my FBO! Beat that! :yar:

Curious - who eats the expense of repositioning to another airport to buy cheaper fuel?

The student does. They're flying the plane, they're logging the time, they pay for it. If we didn't make fuel stops and bought fuel from $ignature, our rental costs would be higher. The student would have to pay a premium to fly with us either way, so it might as well equate to more experience and time in their logbook.

As it is, we're a solid 20nm inside the ADIZ so we've got a ways to go to the practice area anyway. We might as well stop out there and get fuel. Not every flight is a refueling flight, and we adapt our lessons to fit our fueling scheme. One of my dedicated students got his private certificate after about 46-47 hours flying with us. It can be done.

Oh! My bad! I haven't flown in two months so I guess they must've changed the rates then. Sorry for if I mislead anyone...
That sucks that they did though...all they keep on doing here is increasing rates for everything, not to mention tuition!

lets not forget buying a shiatload of Eclipse Jets.......(for the Chinese students):mad::mad::mad::mad:

on that note, i'd really like to go fly in/for China. their country at least seems to be on an up-swing.

I was beginning to wander if anyone was going to ask about that.

Ortini and I are at Alliance Flight School. We work the desk in echange for plane rentals for just gas. We split the time and fill up at T74 or wherever we can find cheap gas. Last night it was just over 40 bucks for 2.4 in the C152.

This post gave me a chance to brag about my awesome effin deal!

Check your PM.
