Just want to see what people are paying for rental/instruction fuel around the country (or world). I'll start:

Location: Toughkenamon, PA

FBO: New Garden Avaition

Aircraft: PA-38-112 Tomahawk

Rate: (wet) $80.66

Instructor: $38.00

Fuel: $3.96 p./gal.

Please post, I am really interested to see what you guys are paying around the country.

2005 C-172 with G-1000:

$129/hr wet, non club. $109/hr wet, club. (Club is $399 one-time, $39/monthly)

Instruction $40/hr non-club, $35/hr club

Fuel was $3.84/gal last time I went to work.

My usuall rentals at Torrance, CA:

2005 C-172SP G1000 - $124/hour wet

2000 C-172SP - $ 99/hour wet

Cherokee 6 - $145/hour wet

Instructor $39/hour
Fuel Cost $4.09/Gal
Fuel reinbursement.

~$125/hour wet in a Diamond DA40 I couldn't find a per hour list so I took the minimum price and divided it by the min hours. So its probably off. :whatever:
~225/hour (ouch) in Diamond Twin Star
Both are all Glass.
All the planes are less than 4 months old :) (they just bought something like 10 Da40's and 2 twinstars)

cessna 150 $49/hr wet, currently $5/hr fuel surcharge ($54 wet)

172 $74/hr wet, $5 fuel surcharge
nicer 172 $79/hr wet, $5 "" ""

piper arrow $130/Hr

hah.

1980ish Piper warriors - 100/hr wet.
2000ish Piper Seminole - 269/hr (thats the dual rate i pay)

We have on account/off account rates where if you have a balance of $1000, you get the better rate.

DA20-C1 $96/$108
C172P $92/$104
C172S $135/$145
DA40 $135/$145
M20S $160
SR20 $175
PA34-200T $200

Instructor $45/$52

We don't buy fuel at our home field, but in the area it's around $4 per gallon or a little under.

Curious - who eats the expense of repositioning to another airport to buy cheaper fuel?

When I worked at a school that did this (due to political reasons) if the plane had been filled up that flight the school gave the student a 0.X credit (depending on the plane and airport refueled at) for plane and CFI. This was the approximate flight time (hobbs) of the flight to and from refueling airport.

Not that they do the same thing (I would hope they do) but from my experience in this situation, this is what the school has done.

lets not forget our AWESOME deal of $41 per hour for instructors and the really super cool sims for $69/hr

:sarcasm::sarcasm::sarcasm::sarcasm::sarcasm::sarcasm:

Shoot I didn't know UND had cheaper rates than us in regards to the planes.

C-152 $84/hr
Warrior(VFR)$105/hr
Warrior(IFR)$122/hr
Arrow $162/hr
Seminole $237/hr
instructor rate $40/hr

After reading through some of the much cheaper deals out there, makes me feel a little jipped, but that's life. At least I got my private at a cheap fbo We don't even have glass cockpits in our warriors like UND...errrrr....haha our sims are only $19 an hour though so eat that UND...

Did all my training up until this point at Hortman. I actually worked there while I was training so my rates were a little bit lower. Helps to be friends with instructors as well. Herb would always give the employees a nice little bonus as well around Christmas.
