Dear Members and Felllow Aviators,

If you could work in any Airline from anywhere, Who would you work for and why?

Regionals:

CHQ
XJT
Skywest
ASA
Pinnacle
Mesaba
Comair
Colgan
Mesa
(in that order, actually)

Majors:

Southwest
AirTran
Continental
Delta
Northwest
jetBlue
US Airways/America West
United
(also in that order)

Honestly, as long as I have a job, am being compensated well and can support my family and see them occasionally, I'll be happy. The trick is getting all that together in one place....

Eh.....! I see were back to the A.net esque threads.
But I'm bored so I'll bite.

Regionals: (In no particular order)

Comair
ASA
CHQ
XJT

Lastly:

American Eagle
SkyWest

Interim:
Airtran

Majors: (In order)

Delta Airlines
Continental Airlines
American Airlines
United Airlines
Southwest
America West (pre-merger)

Lastly as anyone on this board would tell you.
These might be my choices but I'll fly for the company that hires me that has a good work relation between pilots and management.
And offers the best salary and advancement opportunity and QOL!

-Matthew

P.S. MikeD Great Lakes isn't on the list...

Will your camel be riding up front? Or in the back with the donkeys?

Quick and fast loading and unloading of PAX

Don't mind the camel on your way out the back!

Kell, my regional order is similar to yours. I would put Mesba & Pinnacle in front of Skywest though.(Close to home) However, in the major, I would put Airtran before southwest. Beside that, I would add few more such as Fedex, UPS, ANA, JAL, Singapore airline and British Airways.

I haven't given much thought to regionals, but as for majors I'd go with (in order of most to least):

British Airways
Quantas
Air Canada
Cathay Pacific
WestJet

Surprised only one mentions a freight carrier!

Surprised me too. To think someone would actually list USAir before FedEx or UPS. I guess some people thrive on instability in their life.

Any airline that hires me.

Ding Ding! We have a winner! That there is the correct answer. You send your resume out to everyone, and you say 'yes' to whoever hires you!

Honestly, if I had a choice, I'd go to UPS or FedEx over any pax carrier in a heartbeat. Flying boxes is a dream.

I think these are hardest flying jobs to get on right now. But, I may be wrong.

How's in-flight meal in these freight flights? I am just wondering.

Box meals. We can now choose from a menu for our flights. Personally, since I usually do turns (out-n-backs), I'll sometimes bring my own or, since we usually have several hours to kill between legs, we'll get a cab and just go out to eat.
