Well done gear up emergency landing (1999)

Seeing the I presume dad running with the toddler for some reason freaks me out worse.

I imagine that the Weight on WHeel sensors were not activated, therefore the reverser levers interlock would not open.
 
I'm watching the video on my phone and those look like RR engines, aside from the WOW switches does anyone here know if the RR engines had TRs?

Agree, good point. Assuming that it could be done via some override, hypothetically, Id still be reluctant to.

On a separate note, insofar as the long slide, the B-1B bomber that did the gear up at Diego Garcia, slid over 7000+ feet before stopping.

They secured the engines over the runway. Additionally- if you get any amount of asymmetrical reverse thrust, there would be no way to control the direction of the aircraft.
