Want to be a professional pilot?

Remember, if you want to pursue a professional flying career, it is still a GREAT option to go to a traditional four year state school, get a degree outside of aviation, and do your flight training at a local FBO.

A lot of rumblings lately with ATP, their association to Mountain State and that school loosing their accreditation, as well as a lot of summer 'this is my plan, what do you think?' postings lately and I wanted to remind everyone of a simpler way of looking at things.

Enjoy the journey!

First year pay doesn't care if you went to Embry-Riddle, or Bumblefrak State. ;)

Who actually cares if someone went to an aviation school? Honest questions, has anyone ever been turned down an aviation job because they have a 4year degree but not from one of the big aviation schools?

I would argue that having a four year degree OUTSIDE of one of the big aviation schools actually helps you out in the career.

I blow the general public's collective mind when they ask where I studied.

But aviation schools are more fun. I don't have to spend years learning something I don't care about just to tick off the degree mark on my application.

Your Degree is more than just what you learn about in class.

I recommend the University of Qutch.

We have a great flag football program.

A degree from the University of Qutch can really open doors.

IMO, want to fly? Go to a regular school, use one of the ROTC programs and let the military pay for your flight training...and school too.

Worked for me! They also give you pizza & beer money every month (never lasted me more than a weekend, YMMV)

True story bro. If you like hanging out with dudes around a bonfire in the woods where there's a 10:1 guy:girl ratio, Riddles your place.
