Excuse me? I've had Lasik and was able to do my night freight job then next day...though I took a week off for good measure. It's been over a year and I've met several guys at my airline who have had lasik with no problems. Can you tell me what you base your opinion on? I base mine on the fact that I've had it done and it was the best 2 grand I ever spent....

Don: GREAT to hear that you've had success with Lasik!!! Sincerely!
I have to admit that I'd heard the same thing = that having Lasik is risky because it can ruin your night vision. I believe someone even posted a link to a story about an United or American Capt. who lost his medical for that very reason.
EDIT: Found it HERE Doug posted it last year.
Having said that, after reading your response yesterday, I started thinking "Hmmmm". I'm SICK and TIRED of wearing glasses and/or contacts. It's a pain in the arse!
I will probably check into it somewhere down the road....when I can afford it...... right before I reitre.
