Valencia, Spain

Actually "crianza" is not a type of wine but rather a stage in the aging of the Rioja wine, which is made mainly with Tempranillo grapes.:)

In Spain, and by extent Europe, wines are named after the region they're produced rather than the grape used.

What about Ribera de Duero and all the other D.O.s??:(

You Spaniards are very particular with the wine. My Suegro will poor seltzer in a crianza if you put it in front of him just to be a pain. I am not so particular but I'll fight a duel, pistols at 10 meters over a bottle of Vega Sicilia Gran Reserva 1986...
