I'm not finding any of those "dozens of studies", can you provide some links please?

The science must be different across Europe where many countries advise against the clot shot for healthy kids. Interesting…

Show your work.

Did you read the articles or just find headlines that seemed to agree with you? None of these say anything about the vaccines being dangerous, and they include quotes from experts saying that they would still be beneficial to children. Research by headline is not research.

Did you? What you infer from them is on you.
Yes, I did. The first one is a year old, which makes it pretty obsolete when we're talking about a new virus that we continue to learn more about. The recent ones simply state that they are no longer recommending them for young children because their risk of serious disease without them is very low. But even that is disputed by other experts who say any risk to young children is too high a risk. No where in any of these articles do the experts say that they are dangerous or that they justify the infantile and ignorant use of the term "clot shot."

So the risk/reward ratio does not justify giving healthy kids the clot shot. That’s exactly the entire point lol

It's really not though. There was no talk of Risk/Reward. The only risk discussed was the risk of infection being low in small children that there is no need for the vaccine. No where in those articles was there a claim that the shot is risky. But as you clearly have issues with reading comprehension, I'll bow out. Claim victory if it makes you feel cool.

Let's not get into the weeds here. We have published studies on pubmed.gov going both ways....
That's why it's important to let people choose. I chose not to take the experimental vaccine. Like most pharmaceuticals, there are likely unknown side effects which we will not fully understand for many years. My health is good and I am young. If I were 80 with a compromised immune system I'd consider taking it.

You do you.

Thanks for all the replies to this thread.

That is not true.
Yes, it is. The question is whether or not the company can justify if the employee's requested accommodation is reasonable or not. A medical exemption typically requires more specific documentation, but a religious exemption only requires a sincere belief in a higher power, which is very difficult for a company to say "no you don't" on.

From what I've seen, you can certainly make a case against the COVID vaccine on both counts.

But as Flyingclamsforever said, "you do you", just don't force other people to make decisions that aren't your own out of irrational fear.

I can understand needing medical exemptions. But can someone explain to me how anyone could have a religious objection to vaccines? Where in any holy scripture does it say "no vaccines?" I grew up in a very strict Mormon home. I studied the Bible and other Mormon scriptures. And there was nothing saying anything against vaccines. It sounds like more people hiding their ignorance behind "deeply held religious beliefs." But that's just me.

The only significant religious movement opposed to vaccines is Christian Scientists. And they’re not exactly a big denomination.
