Ground school instructor? Won't log time in the A320, might log some time in the sim, but big deal. Kristie's got about an hour of L1011-500 time but no airline is busting down our doors.
The only thing that is preventing from telling this guy how I feel is that I dont want to burn any bridges.
Remember, you are the customer. If you must communicate in order to solve a problem, speak up and get results. Don't worry about burning any bridges - if you communicate effectively it won't cause any issues.

Hows the FBO search going Jason? What type of rental rates have you found in Cali? AZ is inflated from what I have seen.
Zuko,
I understand you are frustrated with your instructor, but just remember he is human and is not perfect. If he has alot of students it sometimes can be hard to juggle all of them. You also need to tell him that you want to fly and if he cant he needs to get you someone else that can. It wont make any instructor mad, it will make them mad however if you just up and leave. Also by going to ASU it may be great weather almost all year but I lived in the state next to AZ called NV and well most of the days it was clear but you also have alot more winds, high temps in summer, and sand storms. Remember everywhere you go is bad weather, it can be in nodak, NY, CA, and AZ. You just gotta tough it out and take it as is, and if you cant tough it out then maybe you should make a career change because this industry is not fair and is not forgiving. I am not saying that you should quit UND or your flying career but really think about the bigger picture.

Its true. My friend goes there. Its mostly in the summer time though. Most girls are blondes but absolute 10s.
Kinda like my country of CAexcept you get hot brunettes too and absolute 11's

oh btw, UND aerospace just woke me up calling asking where I was when I hit the cone. And they said the prop seems fine.
but what about the CONE???
The cone was split in half from a quick glance.
I am still awaiting for my instructor to call. He said yesturday or today he would call to schedule. I called once tonight and no response. I am really annoyed with him. I am getting a new one already but he has to finish 13 I can do stage 14. But his schedule HAS NOOO ROOM. According to aims, the next time I can find open space is next thursday. THat would mean two weeks in between lessons after having a 3 week break. I have been soooo proactive with him.
The cone was split in half from a quick glance.
i thought the major issue with a prop strike was the crankshaft and not the prop?
i heard that it could cause a hairline crack in the crank which actually leads to the rest of your postwell the two are connected (pun intended.)
ie - something nicks/alters the prop...thus it is now unbalanced....oscillations grow rapidly in intensity....crankshaft, engine is destroyed, and maybe flings pieces of it very far and fast? (ok the last part is a stretch but yeah, unbalanced forces are not something you want on a heavy spinning piece of metal!!)
Yeah man, that really sucks...let us know how it works out. Getting a new instructor can be tough. Hopefully, your new instructor will have a more open schedule and will be willing to finish you up ASAP.Well, I lost my patience last night waiting to hear from my instructor.
I called him and left a voicemail how in the start it seemed like he cared about my training and how he doesnt anymore. And basically went on and on about everything that I am upset with. I call his lead and basically leave the same message and such. My instructor calls me back and we basically get into it. We went back and fourth (forth) in circles and I felt like I shouldnt of (have)allowed this to happen. He had an excuse for everything. Some of them were valid, some not imo. A lot of stuff wasnt in his control like him getting assigned a ton of new students. He never really owned up to not calling me back constantly or anything. He just kept saying he has a life outside und aerospace. And I was like well then why tell me your (you're) going to call at XXX and dont do it. We went on and on and on. He felt like I was trying to push the blame on him for me being so far behind. I told him that wasnt true and that I was upset with the amount I have been flying.
So today I get no call back from his lead or anyone. I called and left my instructor a message saying I have a scheduling question about me potentially dropping a class. He calls me back and I apologized for loosing (losing) my cool last night and temper. I told him that I dont want to be on bad terms with anyone. He told me that his lead called him into his office today and told him that he was finding me a new instructor ASAP and that he took out our launch for wesnesday because he is not my instructor anymore. He said I should be getting a call tommorow with my instructor.
I learned last night that pissing matches are not worth it. I should of (have) called the red flag about him not calling me back a lot earlier rather then being Mr. Nice guy until I cant take it anymore in the end.
