I am curious too. I figured it was in my blind spot because I literally couldnt see it. My only other explanation is that I remember the sun was in my eyes.
Would you complain to his lead about what happened today? Maybe even requesting someone else to do the 13? Or should I just move on get the 13 done and be done with the guy. What bothers me, is that I am likely going to have to wait till mid next week just to get it done because my instructor is sooo busy.
Why cant they just have a lead sign me off for the stage check or something.

I’m curious as to how this cone was in your blind spot some 20 feet away from where you started up? Taxing around from the back row on Charlie ramp can be tricky, but you just have to be careful (and Bravo ramp for that matter).
I don’t disagree that it was unprofessional of the instructor to have handled the situation the way that he did, but I’m glad that you voiced your intentions not to continue the flight.
