Again, source?
Pretty amazing to have to find out any information about this cluster • from the internet.

So are you saying it has not been confirmed where the SOC will be located after merger? Also, how soon would you expect to for the move to take place?
Would these new hires start off in PIT and then move to DFW (if SOC will indeed remain in TX) ?
The second part will be probably need to be worked out by the time mutual contract is up, that could take time, vide United/CO.One of the big merger questions is whether to do US Airways seniority for non reving or the AA time of check in priority for non reving. I think the pilots will want seniority because at US you can reserve the jumpseat a week out and its much easier to do that in a seniority system than time of check in.
Second big issue is that at AA dispatch we minimum fuel most of our flights because of the fuel bonus. At US Airways, they give a lot more fuel and dont have a fuel bonus.

A few, maybe, but I would be shocked to see a lot of folks come around on this issue. Right or wrong, there is a lot of, "I've been doing this • for 20 years, and I'm not letting some guy who never had a dispatch license tell me how to dispatch." attitude. I can see adding some extra fuel going to places out west where there isn't an on-line alternate that's close. On the other hand, I'm perfectly happy going to a lot of places on the east coast with little to no hold fuel where there are four airports within easy reach. I can't tell you the last time I had a flight hold into PIT, CMH, JAX, etc.Actually, there has been a lot of pressure at USAirways as well to min fuel most of the flights for fuel savings. The mainline Union has fought this tooth and nail, and USAirways hasn't really stood up to them much on this, but they are really putting the pressure on the express carriers. At my carrier, our policy is min fuel all no alternate no tanker flights, and if pilots add more fuel, to file an irregularity report. For these reasons, I suspect that the AA policy will eventually win out. Because there is a financial incentive attached to it at AA, that will have a way of bringing a lot of the US guys around. Not to mention that if USAirways ends up closing PIT, a lot more of those guys will retire.

I know that that culture persists at Mainline, and I don't expect a lot of the old veterans to come around on this issue. I simply stated that because complying could mean an extra 16K or so a year on your pay check, that is a lot of money to leave on the table. Not to mention that if the numbers get skewered by the US guys, the whole group loses and gets a smaller bonus. I have been doing the job nearly ten years myself, and I am always looking for ways to do the job better, and I am fully aware that you save money by not adding unnecessary fuel, which only helps the employees in the long run.A few, maybe, but I would be shocked to see a lot of folks come around on this issue. Out of 165-ish people on the list, I think it will be a small percentage of people who decide to retire if this thing moves out of PIT. I'm a low guy, so I hope we hire a bunch though, lol.
Is that a statement that they are or are you asking if they have?emails going out for interviews
