And you won't get RJs. If you think the majors won't move their MD-88s, 737s, etc. onto city pairs where the yields are up and competition is down, you are missing something about the portability of airplanes.
One of the deleterious effects of too many hubs was the need for small airplanes to keep frequencies high. With fewer hubs you use larger airplanes and still keep the frequency up.
