Yes, Airnet can jumpseat on Northwest on a cabin-only basis.

They cannot call us on our days off, except to pre-position us the day before a flight. In other words, they can have us fly out on Tuesday for our flight Wednesday, and after the week, we can have a travel day in there, but they have been awesome on working with us that commute to fly home from our last position, if possible. The worst it could be is get home a little later on Thurs, and leave on Tuesday of the next week. For me personally, it has been great. It'll be even better when I'm on the 8/6, which will probably be mid August.

As far as the big 4, they are: American, Delta, United, and Continental. I guess "big 4" no longer applies, but they are the ones we cannot ride on. We can also ride on most of the regionals, except American Eagle, so most of the US is covered. As stated before, NWA we can ride on. All of our jumpseat privileges are cabin only, except our system.

How is the upgrade time at airnet. I saw it posted that it takes about a year to get into the lear. Are you guys flying Caravans prior to that? Or is the caravan an upgrade also? Also, forgive my ignorance, is the lear single pilot?
 
The Lear is a two person crew. The Caravan is a "beginner's airplane" at Airnet, so it is not an upgrade. I am actually currently in 'Van training here in Wichita, so when it's all said and done, I'll be Baron, Navajo-Chieftain, and Caravan qual'ed.

Upgrades are currently running about 12-14 months still, I believe. I'm just ready to relax and enjoy flying the line for a while. No more training for me for a while please!
