One of my mom's friends was an AA FA who called out in BOS and I'm pretty sure Betty Ong came in to replace her, the woman who was on the line with an operator when AA11 hit the WTC. The woman spent weeks there afraid to fly back, went on some kind of leave, never worked as an FA again. They ended up divorced when the guy was super sweet, I think it messed her up for life carrying that guilt tho its been about 15 years since I heard what she's up to.

Probably tons of similar stories.

I believe he got in serious trouble with his AAirline over his posts and they came to an "agreement" that he would no longer post in THEIR uniform, which is why he switched to gold stripes and his own "branded" wings, tie and lanyard.

Yeah I’m way more sensitive about that now too. Fortunately, my financial advisor certainly isn’t a Trump sycophant so I have minimized some of the downside risk of America’s live-action foray into “Drunken History”.
 
my favorite of his grifts is calling himself a doctor in LEPF citations, implying medical qualifications, when he received a doctorate from some wacky seminary

…after the 501c tax forms where he and his wife just can’t seem to turn a real profit any year selling christian yout books but their salaries fluctuate enough to nearly break even

Have done similar, though personally my fears with the current regime are far less about finances than other issues.

I wonder what retirement plan France has to offer an illegal immigrant?
