United new uniforms

That's THAT big of a deal? I'll glady do some walkarounds versus being on hold for 30 minutes with scheduling, on hold with dispatch for another 20 because they didn't give us a required alternate, or dealing with some stupid write-up the FAs decided to tell me about right as they try to tell me they're ready to go.
Jesus, @BEEF SUPREME is channeling the 22-year-old copilots fresh from GFK something fierce tonight.

I’ll go play in the snow, it’s my job. I don’t mind it except when it’s frakking ice pellets or below about 10F.

Maybe that 22 yr old was the same habitual masturbator in training at Comfort Inn & Suites. That my roommate here at Pilot House always was complaining about while in training. :D

That's probably where the social awkwardness of a lot of pilots comes into play. I've flown with plenty of captains that would talk about their expensive toys I couldn't afford when I was an FO. Difference being it was either stuff I was into (fast cars), or one guy that'd just bought an old sailboat and was excited about restoring it and sailing down the west coast. No bragging, just sharing passion for something and a cool hobby that I'd love to be into someday too if I had the time/money. All comes down to how the person comes across I guess. If someone glazes over when I start talking about my car I'd probably take the hint they're not into it and move along.

It’s always fun to learn from other’s experiences and ask questions. Talking with my FO the other day I learned he was building a Vans RV-7. We had a lot of fun chatting about that, and I picked his mind about everything related to that. Was I slightly jealous? Maybe, but mainly just fascinated. We really do get to meet a lot of neat people from all walks of life in this industry. You can grumble about what others have, or use your position to learn from others and live vicariously through others at times.

One guy I flew with literally told me about his detached garage for 4 hours out to LAX.

He literally had about 100 photos that he’d thumb through and comment on each page from breaking ground to when it was finally done.

Four hours.
FOOOOOOOOOOOOUR HOURS.

Maaaaan, you gotta learn how to redirect. Small talk is key.

Mix kids into it and fugggggetabout it. At least from what my straight friends tell me. One of them told me once his wife said you got five minutes. Cause I get get the kids up for school and start breakfast. Romance is alive and well.
Good thing I don’t want any of those.

Well sorry I don't like buying complete sets of uniforms 2X in one year or listening to someone drone on about a 55K sheep hunt after I hint at them to STFU by telling them I'm losing my home. I'll work on it.

Nah... boils down to individual libido and ability to understand each other's needs.
If one partner needs it daily and the other one is twice a week kind of a person, middle ground can be reached, kids or not.
Further out extremes - it's either pornhub platinum membership or inevitable bye felicia
