Ironically, this is all part of a smear campaign from a recalled rep. Not that the glove doesn't fit, but it's pretty funny how an equally unlikable character is getting the "press" and social media to do his revenge fantasy for him.

The irony is that all the players in this drama got the same lecture that you, I, and every ALPA volunteer gets:

“Don’t write anything on social media that you don’t want to see on a 80” screen in a courtroom or the CP’s office.”

He's good people, won't get into UA ALPA politics but I'll vouch for him all day long.

Most bankruptcy contracts gave ALPA a seat on the company's Board in exchange for all the wage and QOL cuts. Some properties have it default to the MEC Chair while other places have the MEC appoint someone (not always a pilot) to the position. Our rep is a former ALPA president.
