A mandatory money-making opportunityWhat does junior manning mean? I see it mentioned often. Sorry if stupid question.
If they need someone to come in due to understanding, they start at the bottom of the seniority list (the most Junior Man) and keep calling until someone picks up. Then they say "you're working today, see you in a few hours"What does junior manning mean? I see it mentioned often. Sorry if stupid question.
United got you beat bro, two weeks out, lol how bout 10 days out. Full schedule change at their discretion. And you’ll get juniored as well on your days off.At AA, overtime shifts do not get junior assigned. To get around that, the scheduling department have been moving the most junior on PM shifts to the midnight shift two weeks in advance. In some ways, junior assigned overtime is better because at least you are making 1.5 or 2.0x pay. You make regular pay when your shift time is changed two weeks prior to scheduled work day.
Just curious - why didn’t the union at UA negotiate a new contract this last time with the terrible QOL language it has? If I recall correctly they only negotiated changes to the payscale. Seems very odd that QOL as a whole would be completely ignored during negotiations.United got you beat bro, two weeks out, lol how bout 10 days out. Full schedule change at their discretion. Why is it only happening at United then? And 2x pay is good when you want it to be but when you have to continuously miss life events bc your employer failed to staff the office correctly, it’s not. It's what happens when air travel demand skyrocketed after the pandemic, lots of early retirement packages given out, and insane growth
1.5 and 2x OT ain't ever bad, at least I don't think it is
Yeah but don't you get pay protection after the JA? I have a friend picked up OT then they got JAd for the midnight prior. Got paid OT for the JA and got the OT pay because of the pay protection. 4x for one shift. Bananas...United got you beat bro, two weeks out, lol how bout 10 days out.
