One last thing. They need to mount a ridiculous spoiler somewhere on the empennage or upper fuselage to complete the riced-out look.

Basically these new winglets are the precursor to the 737MAX. My first thought when I saw these new winglets was that the Airbus wingtip fences were a novel idea. They took it and really modified it (that way, the EADS company can't file a patent suit).

THey are not even remotely similar to the airbus fences... only in profile view do they begin to have a resemblance of the outline, but that's even a stretch..

Even some lowly econobox cars have lane-change warnings when it senses there is something too close to you. Why hasn't anyone come up with something like this for aircraft where you can't see all the stuff hanging off of it? Doesn't seem like it would be that hard. Hell... even mounting a camera at the top of the tail would be better than nothing.
