As boring as they are, they are part of the traveling experience. You expect your doctor to walk in with a white coat on, you expect your dentist to be in scrubs with the mask thingy on and you expect your pilot to look like a pilot.
The uniforms are outdated, but they are traditional. It's a tradition that stems from the 1930s. We can thank Pan Am for the way we look today. They devised the idea of Naval uniforms since they mostly had flying boats. That's also the reason they had white hats (what I wouldn't give for one of those).
Call me a traditionalist. Call me boring. Call me a dork. I don't care. I wear my uniform and my hat :drool: with pride. I worked hard for this job and I take it seriously. This isn't a fashion show.
