Uniform Shirts

I made a facebook post a few years ago about uniforms shirts. Thought I would buy some at the time but I was able to squeeze a few years out of my A Cut Above shirts from 9E. Now I’m into the uniform shirts from Brown and they all look like muumuu’s and struggle to stay tucked. Just sloppy IMO.

Is A Cut Above still a good brand? There’s another brand that pilots seem to be happy with and they were heavy with social media advertising a few years ago but the name escapes me.

I’ll also probably be giving away a bunch of M&H shirts (17 1/2) if anyone wants them. Preferably to a regional new hire that doesn’t have the extra cash for uniform shirts but they’re a free for all once I get some shirts I prefer in.

My last order from A Cut Above was a few years back and it was horrible. Two shirts had misaligned buttons and the stitching starting coming apart within a couple of months.

Jetseam is a great choice. I also like the Flight shirts but they are made of that athletic shirt material. I have both and like them.

JetSeam is very good. I’ve noticed the color doesn’t hold well enough over time but if you wear white shirts that’s not an issue.

The Flight shirts are…okay. They don’t breathe well, and the collars are not comfortable to me. But they are wrinkle resistant for sure.

I wear Flight in the summer and JetSeam in the winter. I also have a bunch of brand-new M&H and Crew Outfitters shirts to give away.

A Cut Above has gone downhill big time over the last 10+ years. The cost continues to go up and the quality continies to go down. I'd probably never order from them ever again.

I switched to Flight a few years ago and really like them. They're athleisure material and a better fit. Really comfortable and look great. Have heard good things about Jetseam but I only use them for pants.

Edit to add: Flight throws sales pretty frequently. They just had 25 or 30% off everything for fathers day. That might still be going on.

BomCrewMall.com. His name is Aniel. Very personalized. Ordered from him about 6 years ago and never looking back. Little on the pricey side but it’s all personalized for your fit.

I've been using Flight for the past couple of years after trying pretty much every brand. They're the ones that fit my body shape the best. The material is a bit strange and takes a few trips to get used to, but I've grown to love how easy they are to take care of. You wash it like any old t-shirt: into the washer, dryer, and if there's still some wrinkles they come out in 30 seconds with a steamer.

Generic tapered Van Heusens here. Cheap as possible because all shirts go in the trash after incremental periods of time.

Got a bag with a bar code from the local cleaners. Dirty shirts go in the bag, bag goes to the cleaners, they press and fold, pick up, rinse, repeat.

They wear for crap, but so does every other brand. I've never seen a shirt that is worth the extra money they charge.

Cheap? Maybe, but I'll spend money where it makes a difference. It doesn't here.

Get off my lawn.
