I forget where I read it, but I think all males always end up taller than their mothers!!! Not sure about their fathers
I'm 6' and I'm usually OK with most standard economy seats, except I remember a particularly tight DAL MD-11 on a transatlantic crossing a few years ago. I'm a supporter of the theory that the exit aisles and bulkhead seats should be sold as normal seats, and then be allocted by seat re-shuffling by the cabin crew when they see a particularly tall passenger boarding. Seems to work on many of the European national flag carriers anyway.
The one thing I hate is flying on charter airlines, their seats are always too close together for me.
