UAL-Goose Bay CA diversion

Cripes one whiny pax was talking to the press at the airport before they finally got to depart again and he actually said he was so traumatized! Traumatized???? Over what? You see your family killed in a car crash, you lose your legs in a war, you are assaulted,robbed and beaten, you lose everything in a tornado, etc., THAT's trauma. Spending one damn night in a barracks, safe and sound with plenty of food and drink and a bathroom and hot shower is hardly traumatizing. Good grief, what is wrong with people?

But I'm a million miler!! I'm a Premier 1K! I deserve better than this! How can they do this to me!?!? Treat me this way as if I'm some lowlife sitting in Coach, or some SWA passenger?!?! I'm SOMEBODY! Do they not know that? They should've had a Gulfstream waiting for me at this place they call an airport, to continue me to my destination! Instead, I had to eat from a tray, with plastic utensils....sitting around those coach people. And having to ....what is it called? "Bunk"....in a "bay" with tons of beds there! Where was my Ritz Carlton?!?! I'm going SUE for pain and suffering!! I can't believe they would treat me this way! This is what those lowlife people who can't get a job and who join the military because they have no other use in life, this is how THEY live. Not me! Waaaaaah!!!!!!!!!
 
You know, whenever I've had abnormal scenarios in the airplane, the true frequent fliers were like "do your thing man, we get it" but the people who would freak the (expletive deleted) out were usually the "value travelers" and "Trust me, daddy is really important and I have a fashion emergency, I'm just riding coach because, well, screw you, I'm on Yelp" types.

It takes some time to access an issue (i.e. the original aircraft), decide what to do, then round up a plane of the size needed, get it ready and get a complete flight and cabin crew. The second plane was supposed to to leave EWR in the early morning and arrive mid day but apparently it had some issues of it's own and was delayed for several hours and did not arrive until late afternoon. Sometimes, this is just how the dominoes line up.
