One of the last surviving Tuskegee Airmen is turning 100 soon, and all he wants for his birthday is a card from you.
Retired Sgt. Victor W. Butler is turning 100 on May 21, and the World War II Vet has asked that those who would like to will send him a birthday card in celebration.
Butler, who lives in Rhode Island, was a mechanic who worked on the legendary planes as part of the Tuskegee Airmen, which was a group of primarily African American military pilots and airmen.
While he has won many awards throughout the years, Butler is hoping he'll now be the recipient of something else -- birthday cards.
"Oh, I'll read every one of them," said Butler, who also shared what he's learned about life.
"Just enjoy life as it is. Be thankful," he said. “I'm thankful that I have a nice wife, and a nice home to live in."
If you'd like to send Butler a birthday card, here is his address:
Victor W. Butler
C/O Gary Butler
P.O. box. 3523
Cranston, RI 02910
End-

There are only a few of these guys left, the last pilot passed away this year IFRC.
If you have time, drop a card please (I don’t get a commission here!)
