Trim Fitted Pilot Shirts

Anyone know of a really good brand of Trim Fitted pilot shirts? The best I've found is a-cut-above but they still aren't 100% what i'm looking for. I'm just wondering if there are any alternatives to cut above that offer something similar?

Get the free ones from the company and head to a tailor. You'll end up paying less or about the same depending on how much needs to be done, but it'll fit properly..

Did you get the cut above ones with the waist taken in? I got some recently with 2 inches taken in at the waist and it fits as good as I think a non-personally tailored shirt ever will.

I tried on the new uniform yesterday. The new shirts offered are much better fitting and are now offered in a "slim" fit as well as relaxed. The quality is pretty good. It's non-wrinkle cotton.

I would wait if you can until spring of next year when we are all issued new uniforms and then you can decide from there...IMO the shirts from Twin Hill are actually pretty decent, better than any pilot shirt I've ever had.

Hey I just PMed you with the name of the rep for the company we are using for our new uniforms. She reps a line of clothes that are really great and totally customizable. Shoot her an email or give her a call.

So no more M and H? That's good to know.

Twin Hill has always been the new uniform vendor. There were quality issues with the last set, namely the stitching, but I have a hunch it was because it was a first run. Twin Hill is the uniform arm of Men's Warehouse, they have decent stuff. M&H also had decent stuff available, just not at the price point we were buying at. They are Delta's supplier.

VanHeusen has their "tapered fit" and they are not expensive.

Upside: They fit well, and are inexpensive.

They have wing holes in case your outfit requires 16 pieces of flair.

Downside:
They don't wear especially well. Figure on getting a year or two max out of them. The mix is 65/35 poly, which gives them a quadruple-knit leisure suit feel.

The good news is they're relatively cheap, so you can keep more in rotation. I've found that even the good shirts get "stinky" after a year, so more/cheap may be the way to go. There is something about airplane funk that penetrates even the most resilient fabric, and defeats the toughest detergents.

My problem with cut above is the spandex material.

I loved that shirt, but the material is terrible. Not from a comfort standpoint, but rather that you can iron it, drive to work, and in the hour it took you to get there the shirt now looks like you slept under an overpass in it.
