Trans States Open Houses

I notice on flightaware that Trans States hardly has any action much west of STL, and yet they're opening a DEN base shortly.. any idea what sort of routes will come out of DEN?
just a list of a few of them...Grand Junction, Durango, Louisville, Grand Forks, Omaha

Well all I know is that DEN hasn't worked out well for XJT as a base. My guess is since the planes are coming from us they will end up on similar routes as us. Basically no further west than SLC and most flying will go east which means crews become less useful due to FDP reductions. Basically, DEN isn't good for airlines that primarily operate in the eastern half of the US. I honestly wouldn't move out there for TSA (or XJT) because of this issue. Could be a short lived base.

I agree with some of that...management has stated that they are going to keep most of them out there because of that exact reason (as in very little hub switching during trips)....18 planes mostly XR's

and yes very little if any at all west of SLC

Hey now, Louisville isn't bad if you get time to explore. A lot of good restaurants/bars. Then again, good luck getting to any of them without a car.

We actually fly there from dulles. I don't recall where we stay, even tho I was there two weeks ago o_O

TSA offer any sort of signing bonus for FO's?
signing bonuses are for if your airline really needs you there regardless of the time you put in to become a pilot.

so no they don't...but if you have the time you will upgrade between 1/2-2 years

Likely less if you have the time, too.
