As you see he covered quite a bit more then what was required. The oral started at 8:30 and went until 12:30 and the flight was from 1 to 2:30. The reason why he was being so comprehensive and over the PTS was because I was his third checkride for the CFI initial. I had no problem with doing more than what was required to make sure we covered all of the bases and were doing a complete and thorough checkride.

I would suggest that you go into that oral like you own it and you show confidence in what you are teaching. It will help how you feel right away.

Was your checkride from Rickey? If so this is not out of the norm. I've seen him give three-hour orals for private checkrides. He's a very in-depth person.

Yeah it was with Ricky, I've heard that his other rides have been quite thorough.
