Thank you!
I'm actually hoping SkyCougar will chime in too, as being a travel agent she would have first-hand experience to relate about how people choose their ticket purchasing.
Amber, I still haven't gotten through this thread yet because I've been too busy whoopin' some ass at work,
but I got the gist of it so far. To answer your questions about how people choose their flights:
but I got the gist of it so far. To answer your questions about how people choose their flights:People of modest means mainly choose by price, and if they have a fear of flying, they may also ask you about an airline's safety record.
Affluent and business travelers, which is mostly what my firm books, mainly choose airlines by schedule, service, connections, convenience - So much so that I'm chartering lots of jets, (including up to 757's for larger groups), and I see that increasing (sorry airlines) unless the delays/TSA security hassle thing gets fixed. They want convenience and are willing to pay for it. Never once have I ever had a client tell me that they want to be booked on an airline because the FA's are hot. I do hear people say they love Singapore Airlines for the service, and occasionally a guy will add a comment about pretty FA's, but that is rare.
So Toonces, I hear that Virgin America hires good looking FA's. Anyone know if that's true, and if so, how are they doing financially? (although they are still somewhat of a new novelty so maybe they're not a good gauge)
Speaking of work.....
