The time has come...maybe

I've posted like 30, maybe 40 posts on JC today putting off studying for my annual simulator checks the next two days. I'm drinking a beer (Alaskan Amber) trying to think of anything else that needs doing so I don't have to think about V1 cuts and all that emergency flying stuff. I'm afraid I'm out of excuses (my bikes are clean and waxed) and my laundry is done. I guess it's time to crack the books for 15 minutes before I think of something else that needs to be done. Wait.....
I think I'll run to Wal-Mart and buy some silicone or packing tape. I can always study over coffee in the morning when I'm not so tired from being on the computer all day.

My briefs at noon, I have half the day tomorrow to think about this stuff. Whew, I was worried there for a bit...
Seriously, I better get my act together or I'll be job hunting come Wednesday....

Chapter one: SMIGS, SMEGS or SMGCS or whatever they are called, RNP and VDPs. Ughhhhh..

Goodnight.....

v1 cuts, v1 go's, RNP approaches (you'll go missed before an RF leg) and copious amounts of missed approaches.

Additionally, you'll get a couple scenarios of where your co-workers have been screwing the pooch!

I've screwed many pooches, metaphorically speaking.

The key with V1 cuts is to not rotate early and keep your crosswind correction in there. When I hear "engine failure", I use the rudder to point the nose down the centerline. Once you have it straight, start a slow rotation while keeping in your crosswind aileron. Once you break ground, get into the flight director and try to be smooth with your control inputs. Small inputs and smooth. Best of luck.

Preface: I am not an ALPA rep not will ever be....ever.

Alaska Air has had Alaska Amber in first class since Juneau had a brewery. It's a decent middle of the road "craft" brew that many will drink thinking Alaska Air is da bomb since they serve a "craft" beer. I LUV Air Group and I'm an MVP shooting for Gold soon. Would be nice to see them experiment in first similar to what QX does. Horizon serves a different craft beer every month or so. Would be nice to see AS mix it up a little in first.

QX serves a different wine every month as well. When my wife was a flight attendant there we jumped down to Vegas for her birthday and it was the end of the month so they gave us a whole bottle between SEA and PDX so it wouldn't go to waste. We really did a number between PDX and LAS as well. Alaska and Hawaiian are the only airlines we use now and they don't disappoint.

All their beer is delicious. They make a smoked porter that is out of this world. Of course we also have 3 microbreweries within 90 miles of here-Skagway (spruce tip blonde, mmmmm), Sitka, and Haines.

Commute on Horizon or Alaska (skywest). That's where the free beer is. (I am not a ALPA rep and never will be)....
