From What I understand it's a bunch of info on housing, shuttle routes and what time to be there on your first date. Maybe also an offical signed copy of your FOL. Other than that I don't know.

I do think it's funny though that in my case I start in 6 days and I am so glad I got a place set up cause if I waited for that packet to set up housing I'd be screwed!!!
 
Yeah now that you mention it, I have been taking information from this forum for granted. If this wasn't online, I'd probably be sitting around twiddling my thumbs because the FAA really doesn't provide a whole lot of useful information.

I've been reading this thread for a while noting everyone's progress, and I think I'm starting to hate my HR rep lol. She said they've received all my clearances but aren't putting anyone into classes yet. I asked again this week and she said she still hadn't heard anything. OBVIOUSLY they are putting folks in classes now, so what is the deal ugh...it's really starting to irk me:mad:

I get that for some of us this process is gonna take longer, but I'd at least like to have some useful information from the people who are paid to provide us with some lol
 
Hey guys I talked to Someone today about the packets and She said she sent out some last night. I should recieve mine tomorrow from Saturday FedEx and if you are not on a Sat. FedEx delivery route then you'll receive it Monday. That being said I don't know how many she sent out and if it was just for the people that are starting within the next two weeks. THere are also 3 classes starting on the 25th alone so anyone else that may be starting that day be early for the parking cause it's gonna be a doozy!!!!

I did find out that there are 2 other people that will be in my class that are headed to VGT with me!!! That was really exciting because I didn't think there would be any more simply because I didn't think my facility was that understaffed and did really need people. Anyway, I am happy that I won't be going to my facility alone!!! Yay!!!! Obviously, there are still many people that have not been fortunate enough to have discovered this site for the moral support...sad....

Well I certainly understand the feeling your getting but its just how they do the process. My HR said they fill the classes by facilities now meaning that if your facility isn't a high priority or request a early date for you then you'll be waiting. And he also said they are "trying" to put people in classes who have been waiting the longest. They will get to you it just might be a while don't worry though the wait could be worse.

Same here, I wonder if DT is on another vacation since he emailed me during the last time he was supposedly on vacation. I'm bored here in NW San Jose, maybe we can get tower tour somewhere

Yea, I got so bored that I transferred my railroad job out to South Dakota (albeit, temporarily)... now I'm moving 17,000 ton coal trains up and down the Black Hills :buck:

You should get a tour of San Jose (or even drive down to LAX). I did that a few months ago. They were pretty helpful.
 
For everyone starting this week...where did you find to stay in OKC? I will be staying at Apple Tree Apts. Can't move in until the 25th though...so I get to spend 2 nights in a hotel...oh well!!
 
A resident reference received their letter today, so far everyone that has received a letter has received one on a Saturday or a Monday. I think that is five down and 16 more to go!!!!
 
has anyone had to get "adjudication for any charges on your criminal record" for the security dept??? I am getting jerked around so bad by them, my medicals have been in for 2 weeks but my security is still pending. I dont have a DUI or anything but they keep telling me they need this, need this, blah blah. And the worst part is that I have to call her every week to find out what she needs cause she doesnt communicate with me what she needs or answer her emails. I am getting so frustrated with this trash:banghead:

Has anyone else from the MEM PEPC been told that their MMPI portion has been lost? I contacted ASO Medical and was informed that I along with 7 other individuals from that week had that happen.

Ok! That seriously blows! Sorry to hear the horrible news. I haven't been told that my paperwork has been lost but then again I've been waiting for almost 2 months for it to clear. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if I were actually included in that group of 7.:panic:LOL.

Same with me as well, I am still waiting for my clearances as well as that circumstance of a lost MMPI UGGH enough to drive u banannas :nana2: I will be glad when this is all over!
